Laowa 10mm F2.8 for hire

About this kit

Laowa's 10mm f/2.8 is about as wide as full-frame lenses go before you reach fisheye territory, and it is corrected so that walls, door frames and horizons come out straight rather than curved. It is the lens for small interiors, property walkthroughs, architecture, car interiors, action and POV shots, and night skies.

At 10mm depth of field is so deep that focus is forgiving: set it once and most of the frame stays sharp, which suits gimbal walkthroughs and locked-off interiors. The trade-off is perspective. Anything near the edges of the frame stretches, so keep faces towards the middle, and keep the camera level to stop verticals leaning in. The view is wide enough that the sun, lights and crew creep into shot easily, so check the edges before you roll.

Ask us which mount our two copies are in when you book. In Sony E it goes on the Sony FX3, Sony A7 IV or Sony A7S III; in Canon RF, on the Canon EOS R5 II or Canon EOS R6 III. It is light enough to sit comfortably on the Ronin RS3 Pro or Ronin RS4 Pro, and for interiors you can level it on the Sirui SQ75 Carbon Fiber Video Tripod.

Questions people ask

What's included with each item?
It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
Can I extend while the kit is out?
Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
What if something gets damaged?
Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
