Canon RF 24-70mm for hire

About this kit

Canon's RF 24-70mm is our everyday zoom for Canon bodies and the lens most Canon shoots start with. At 24mm you can fit in a room, a group or an establishing shot; at 70mm you get a head-and-shoulders interview or a portrait without crowding the subject. Between the two sits most of a corporate day, a wedding, an event or a run-and-gun documentary. We have two, which helps on two-camera shoots.

Autofocus works with the subject and eye detection on our Canon bodies, so it is as useful handheld or on a gimbal as it is on sticks for interviews. Being able to reframe without moving the camera matters in a tight room or on a busy floor. For shallower depth of field or more light than a zoom gives, add a fast prime such as our Canon RF 50mm; the 24-70mm is about flexibility.

It is RF mount and fits our Canon EOS R5, Canon EOS R5 II, Canon EOS R6 III and Canon EOS C80 directly. For moving shots it sits well within the payload of the Ronin RS4 Pro, and for interviews pair it with the Cayer Video Tripod or Sirui SQ75 Carbon Fiber Video Tripod. Ask us for an ND or polarising filter to suit its thread.

Questions people ask

What's included with each item?
It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
Can I extend while the kit is out?
Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
What if something gets damaged?
Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
