Canon RF 28-70mm for hire

About this kit

Canon's RF 28-70mm is a standard zoom for our Canon bodies that covers the focal lengths most people shoot at: 28mm for a room or an environmental portrait, around 50mm for a natural eye-level view, and 70mm for a tighter head-and-shoulders. It suits weddings, portrait and fashion sessions, interviews and events where you want to reframe quickly without swapping lenses.

The maximum aperture stays the same across the zoom range, so exposure doesn't shift as you zoom in and out. Autofocus works with the subject and eye detection on our Canon bodies, which helps keep people sharp at events and on a dance floor. The one thing to plan around is the wide end: 28mm is a little tighter than the 24mm many standard zooms start at, so for small rooms or big groups add our Canon RF 15-35mm.

It is RF mount and fits our Canon EOS R5, Canon EOS R5 II, Canon EOS R6 III and Canon EOS C80 directly. For gimbal work it sits within the payload of the Ronin RS4 Pro, and on long event days the Manfrotto XPRO 5-Section Aluminum Monopod saves your arms. Ask us for an ND or polarising filter in the right size when you book.

Questions people ask

What's included with each item?
It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
Can I extend while the kit is out?
Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
What if something gets damaged?
Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
