Tamron 35-150mm f2.8 for hire

About this kit

Tamron's 35-150mm is a portrait-range zoom for our Sony E-mount bodies, running from a 35mm environmental view to a 150mm close-up. It suits weddings, events, portrait sessions and documentary work, because one lens covers the group shot, the half-length portrait and the candid from across the room, so you rarely need to stop and change lenses.

Its maximum aperture is brightest at the wide end and narrows as you zoom in, so if you zoom during a take, expect a small exposure shift unless you have already stopped down. At 150mm it compresses the background, which flatters faces and lets you shoot candids without crowding people. The gap is at the wide end: 35mm is not wide enough for small rooms or big groups, so pair it with a wide zoom such as our Sony 16-35mm f2.8 II.

It fits our Sony A7 IV, Sony A1 II, Sony A7R V and Sony FX3 directly. For long event days the Manfrotto XPRO 5-Section Aluminum Monopod takes the weight off your arms, and for interviews the camera sits well on the Sirui SQ75 Carbon Fiber Video Tripod.

Questions people ask

What's included with each item?
It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
Can I extend while the kit is out?
Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
What if something gets damaged?
Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
