Sony 24-105mm f4 for hire

About this kit

The Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS is the one-lens option for events, documentary, corporate video, conferences and travel, where you can't stop to change lenses and need to go from a wide room shot to a tight shot of a speaker without moving.

Optical stabilisation steadies handheld shooting, which matters most on the Sony FX6, as that body has no in-body stabilisation. The constant f/4 aperture keeps exposure steady through the zoom, autofocus is quick and quiet, and at around 660g it's comfortable over a long day. The honest limit is light: f/4 is a stop slower than our f/2.8 zooms, so in dim venues you'll be working at higher ISO, and backgrounds won't fall away as much.

It takes 77mm filters, so our ND Filter 77mm and CP Filter 77mm fit. It pairs well with the Sony FX6 for documentary, and with the Sony FX3, Sony A7 IV or Sony Alpha A7 V for hybrid stills and video work. If you need more light or shallower depth of field, step up to the Sony 24-70mm f2.8 II.

Questions people ask

What's included with each item?
It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
Can I extend while the kit is out?
Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
What if something gets damaged?
Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
