Sony 85mm f1.4 hire in London

About this kit
This is Sony's 85mm F1.4 G Master, the portrait prime for headshots, weddings, beauty, fashion and tight interview shots. At 85mm you can work at a comfortable distance from your subject, and the perspective is flattering for faces.
At f/1.4 backgrounds fall away smoothly and the focus plane is thin, so for headshots use eye autofocus and check the eyes are sharp before moving on; stopping down to f/2 or f/2.8 helps with couples and small groups. The manual aperture ring can be de-clicked for video. There's no optical stabilisation in the lens, so it relies on the camera's in-body system; on the Sony FX6, which has none, put it on support.
It fits all our E-mount bodies: the Sony A7R V or Sony A7 IV for portrait sessions, the Sony A1 II when you need speed at a wedding, and the Sony FX3 or Sony A7S III for video. If you'd rather travel light, the Sony 85mm f1.8 covers the same focal length in a smaller, lighter lens. For flash, our Godox V1 Flash (Sony) works on the same bodies.

Questions people ask
- What's included with each item?
- It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
- Can I extend while the kit is out?
- Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
- What if something gets damaged?
- Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
