Sony 90mm Macro hire in London

About this kit
The Sony FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS focuses down to life-size (1:1) reproduction. We hire it for product and packshots, food, jewellery and watches, cosmetics, flowers and insects, and the detail inserts that finish a commercial or wedding film. It also works as a sharp short-telephoto portrait lens.
Optical stabilisation helps with handheld close-ups, though at 1:1 even small movements show, so most product work happens on a tripod. Pull the focus ring back and it switches to manual focus with a distance scale, which is how most people work at high magnification. Depth of field up close is extremely thin, so stop down and add light rather than shooting wide open. Closest focus is about 0.28m.
It fits all our E-mount bodies; the Sony A7R V gets the most detail out of it for stills, and the Sony FX3 or Sony FX6 suit product video. Put it on the Sirui SQ75 Carbon Fiber Video Tripod or Neewer Heavy Duty Video Tripod, and add the Aputure MC Pro for small accent lights. For a newer G Master option, see the Sony FE 100mm F2.8 GM Macro OSS.

Questions people ask
- What's included with each item?
- It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
- Can I extend while the kit is out?
- Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
- What if something gets damaged?
- Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
