Sony 85mm f1.8 hire in London

About this kit
The Sony FE 85mm F1.8 is a compact portrait prime. It suits headshots, portraits, weddings, events and tight interview shots, and it's a sensible pick when you want the 85mm look without the size and weight of an f/1.4 lens. It also makes a good second lens alongside a standard zoom, for the tighter frames.
At under 400g it's easy to carry all day and light enough for a gimbal. Autofocus is quick and quiet, and f/1.8 still gives clear separation from the background at portrait distances. Two limits to know: closest focus is 0.8m, so it won't fill the frame with small details, and there's no optical stabilisation, so it relies on the camera's in-body system.
It fits all our E-mount bodies: the Sony A7 IV, Sony Alpha A7 V or Sony A7R V for stills, and the Sony FX3 or Sony A7S III for video, where it's light enough for the Ronin RS 5 Combo or Ronin RS3 Pro. It takes 67mm filters. For more separation in low light, step up to the Sony 85mm f1.4.

Questions people ask
- What's included with each item?
- It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
- Can I extend while the kit is out?
- Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
- What if something gets damaged?
- Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
