Sony 50-150mm F2 GM for hire

About this kit

The Sony FE 50-150mm F2 GM is a telephoto zoom with a constant f/2 aperture. It spans the focal lengths of four classic primes (50mm, 85mm, 105mm and 135mm) at f/2, which makes it a strong choice for portraits, fashion, weddings, events, stage work and interviews where you want prime-like separation without swapping lenses.

A 150mm lens at f/2 needs a large front element, so this is a big, heavy lens: plan on a monopod or tripod for long sessions, and it isn't one for a small gimbal. Depth of field at 150mm and f/2 is very thin, so for moving subjects lean on eye autofocus or stop down a little. In return, backgrounds fall away cleanly at every focal length, and you can reframe from a medium shot to a close-up without moving.

Any of our E-mount bodies will take it: the Sony A7R V, Sony A1 II or Sony A7 IV for portraits and fashion, and the Sony FX3 or Sony FX6 for video. The Manfrotto XPRO 5-Section Aluminum Monopod or Sirui SQ75 Carbon Fiber Video Tripod takes the weight. Paired with the Sony 28-70mm f2, it gives you f/2 from 28mm to 150mm across two lenses.

Questions people ask

What's included with each item?
It's listed on the item page under "in the case" — batteries, cards, chargers, cages and cases where they come with the kit. If something you need is not listed, add it from Accessories or ask.
Can I extend while the kit is out?
Yes, if nobody else has it booked — message us before your return date and we update the booking and the invoice. The earlier you ask, the more likely the answer is yes.
What if something gets damaged?
Minor wear is expected and never charged. Accidental damage is covered by your hire agreement: you are responsible for the kit while it is with you, and significant damage is charged at the repair or replacement cost.
