About this kit

The Canon EOS R6 V is a video-focused camera from Canon's R6 range. It shares its 32.5-megapixel full-frame sensor with the EOS R6 Mark III, but drops the viewfinder and mechanical shutter in favour of a flatter body with a built-in cooling fan. It suits corporate and social video, interviews, music and event coverage, and solo filmmakers working on a gimbal or compact rig.

The fan is the practical difference on a job, because it's there to keep long continuous takes going. It records 7K RAW internally, with a 7K 3:2 open gate mode for cropping horizontal and vertical versions from one take, and adds in-body stabilisation, a tally lamp, a zoom lever and a dedicated tripod mount for vertical shooting. The trade-off is stills: with no viewfinder or mechanical shutter, a hybrid job is better served by our Canon EOS R6 III. You'll be framing on the vari-angle screen, so an external monitor helps in bright sun.

It's an RF-mount body that runs on Canon's LP-E6P battery. Pair it with the Canon RF 24-105mm F2.8L IS USM Z L-series lens, spare Canon LP-E6P Batteries, the DJI Mic 3 for presenter sound and the Ronin RS4 Pro for gimbal work.
