About this kit

The Canon EOS C80 is a compact full-frame Cinema EOS camera with a 6K sensor and Canon's RF mount. We suggest it for documentaries, interviews, corporate and branded films, and commercials, especially when one operator is handling both picture and sound.

On set, motorised ND gives 2, 4 and 6 stops, with extended settings up to 10, so you can hold your aperture as the light changes. Triple base ISO (800, 3200 and 12800) keeps noise in check when you move from a bright exterior into a dim room, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II is dependable for interviews and gimbal work. Cinema RAW Light records internally at up to 6K 30p, and 4K reaches 120p in slow-motion mode. Worth knowing: there's no viewfinder, only the 3.5-inch touchscreen, so an external monitor helps in bright conditions.

It records to two SD card slots and runs on Canon BP-A series batteries. Sound comes in through two mini-XLR inputs with phantom power or a 3.5mm mic input, and there are 12G-SDI and full-size HDMI outputs plus timecode. Pair it with the Canon RF 24-105mm F2.8L IS USM Z L-series lens, the Atomos Shinobi 7" Monitor + Cage Kit, the Rode Wireless Pro and the Sirui SQ75 Carbon Fiber Video Tripod.
