About this kit
The Canon EOS C50 is the smallest camera in Canon's Cinema EOS range: a full-frame RF-mount body of around 670g that records 7K RAW internally. We suggest it for solo shooters and small crews on documentaries, music videos and branded or social content, or as a second camera to the Canon EOS C80.
The core cinema tools are here: dual base ISO at 800 and 6400, Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II and a cooling fan for long takes. The 7K 3:2 open gate mode records the full sensor at up to 30p, leaving room to crop horizontal and vertical versions, and 4K runs up to 120p. The trade-offs are what it leaves out to stay small: no built-in ND, no in-body stabilisation and no viewfinder, so plan on screw-in ND outdoors and a gimbal for handheld movement.
It records to a CFexpress Type B slot, which RAW needs, plus an SD slot, and runs on Canon's LP-E6P battery. The detachable top handle adds two full-size XLR inputs; the body has a 3.5mm mic input, timecode in/out and full-size HDMI. Pair it with the Canon RF 24-105mm F2.8L IS USM Z L-series lens, an ND Filter 82mm to suit it, spare Canon LP-E6P Batteries and the Ronin RS4 Pro.

- What ID do I need?
- A valid photo ID — passport or driving licence — plus a digital hire agreement, signed once online. Verification is a one-time step; after that your account is ready for every future hire.
