About this kit

The OBSBOT Tail Air is a compact 4K camera on a motorised pan-and-tilt head. Its AI tracking keeps a presenter or performer in frame without an operator. Clients use it for live streams, talks and lectures, podcasts and online classes, and as an unmanned extra angle on a multicam shoot.

Set it on a desk or tripod, choose your subject in the OBSBOT Start app, and it pans, tilts and zooms to follow them. Gesture control lets a solo presenter lock tracking or zoom in with a hand signal. The zoom is 4x digital rather than optical, so it's sharpest when you output 1080p and don't push it all the way in. The point to plan around is power: the built-in battery covers a short session, but for a full event, run it from the mains over USB-C.

It connects to a computer over USB-C, has a micro HDMI output for a switcher or capture device, records to microSD and fits a standard tripod thread. Its 3.5mm input takes a mic or line feed, so a Rode Wireless Go II receiver connects directly for clean presenter audio. We'd pair it with a Small basic Tripod at eye height and a Universal USB C Charger / Mains Power Adapter.
