About this kit

The OBSBOT Tail 2 is a 4K PTZ camera on a motorised pan, tilt and roll head, with AI tracking that keeps a presenter or performer framed without anyone behind it. Clients use it for live streams, church and event services, talks, podcasts and online classes, and as an unmanned extra angle on a multicam shoot.

Its 1/1.5-inch sensor records 4K at up to 60fps, or 1080p at 120fps for slow motion. The 5x optical zoom (12x hybrid) means you can place it at the back of a room and still get a tight shot of the stage. Set the subject in the OBSBOT Start app or with a hand gesture and it follows them across a ±160° pan range.

It is built for live production: HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI outputs for a switcher, USB-C for a computer, Ethernet with PoE+ so one cable carries both power and video, and RTSP / SRT streaming over the network. Two 3.5mm inputs (mic and line) take a wireless mic receiver or a desk feed, and it records to microSD at the same time. The built-in battery covers shorter sessions; for a full event, power it over PoE+ or USB-C. Add our OBSBOT Smart Remote to drive it by hand, and a sturdy tripod at eye height.
